Welcome to Northeast Elementary School
Welcome to Northeast Elementary where Sandra Martin is the enthusiastic and hands on principal. Northeast is a STEAM school serving grades Y5 - 5th. STEAM is Science and Technology interpreted through Engineering and the Arts, all based on Mathematical elements. Northeast also offers a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for
academics and behavior enabling staff to provide the “just right” level of support for their students. Teachers at Northeast work together in teams reviewing and analyzing student performance, making adjustments to ensure each child’s academic success. Staff at Northeast believe it takes a team to provide the best educational experience possible and then encourage family and community partnerships.
Go Vikings!

Northeast Weekly Announcements
Happy New Year Northeast Families! This is Mrs. Swaenepoel with your updates for the week.
We hope your holiday season was filled with joy, rest, and special moments with loved ones. As we return to school, we’re excited to see your children’s bright smiles and begin this next chapter of learning and growth together.
After a long break, we are focusing on reestablishing routines and expectations to help students transition back into the flow of the school day. A predictable routine provides stability and helps set our students up for success both in the classroom and beyond.
We encourage you to support this effort at home by establishing consistent morning and evening routines to prepare for the school day. This is a great time to talk with your child about setting a goal for the new year, whether academic, social, or personal. We are excited to see all of our students continue to grow and learn over the remainder of the year.
With winter weather here, please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor recess. Coats, hats, gloves, and boots are essential to keeping them warm and comfortable while they enjoy their time outside.
Our next Coffee and Conversation will take place on January 9th at 8:30AM. Please join us in talks about topics related to Northeast and our community.
Thank you for being our partners in your child’s education. Together, we can make 2025 a year of growth, discovery, and success! As always, GO VIKINGS!
