Welcome to Northeast Elementary School

Welcome to Northeast Elementary where Sandra Martin is the enthusiastic and hands on principal.  Northeast is a STEAM school serving grades Y5 - 5th. STEAM is Science and Technology interpreted through Engineering and the Arts, all based on Mathematical elements. Northeast also offers a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for
academics and behavior enabling staff to provide the “just right” level of support for their students. Teachers at Northeast work together in teams reviewing and analyzing student performance, making adjustments to ensure each child’s academic success. Staff at Northeast believe it takes a team to provide the best educational experience possible and then encourage family and community partnerships.

Northeast Weekly Announcements

Week of March 9, 2025

Good Evening Northeast Families! This is Mrs. Martin with your updates for the week.

This Friday will be a half day for staff and students. Dismissal is at 11:35. Spring Break begins March 21st. The last day before break is March 20th.

We kicked off March is Reading Month with a Staff vs. Students Basketball game. We had such a blast playing with the 5th graders. The staff won 12-9 and the 5th graders were fierce competitors.

Our exciting Reading Month theme is March Madness – "Take a Shot at a Good Book"! ๐ŸŽ‰ A special reading calendar has been sent home, filled with fun daily activities, special events, and dress-up days. Be sure to check the calendar so your child doesn’t miss out! ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ€Students can read at home and submit signed reading slips for a chance to win awesome prizes—including bikes! ๐Ÿšฒโœจ The more they read, the more chances they have to win. We’ll celebrate all of their hard work during our closing assembly at the end of the month.

Spring conferences will take place this Thursday, March 13th. If your teacher hasn’t reached out to you, and you would like to meet with your child’s teacher, please reach out to your child’s teacher.

The muddy weather is upon us! ๐ŸŒง๏ธ Please help your child come prepared by sending extra shoes or boots for recess to keep them comfortable and out of the mud.

Lastly, we truly appreciate your support in reinforcing our phone policy so we can keep our focus on learning throughout the school day. Your partnership helps create a great environment for all students!

Thank you for your continued support—we look forward to an amazing month of reading and learning together. As always, GO VIKINGS!
